When the snow gets too deep for our little sheltie, Molly, we grab our shovels and create paths around the back yard leading from the back deck so she can get around. We have had super bad weather for a couple of weeks in a row now. We were visited by the Arctic Vortex which decided to stay for a few weeks bringing us days of -19 degrees but feels like -35 degrees. It was so cold it hurt to breathe.
Today’s charming weather has brought us high wind warnings which have made our sidewalks, deck, driveway and in town roads a frozen icy mess.
My husband has gone to get us some more salt and gravel to throw down on the ice as we cannot budge it and it looks like we will just have to wait for a warm spell to come. Molly loves this weather with her double coat she is warm as toast and loves to be out on the deck with her nose to the wind or chasing the snowflakes.
She is not too happy with me for putting the timer on so she only has 15 minutes at a time outside.
Everyone, I hope you are staying warm wherever you are in the world and I hope you enjoy the pics.
